Games have come a long way and nowadays many games, including FPS titles, and use a leveling type system that allow you to unlock more weapons and gadgets as you play through the course of the game. The thing I need to rant about in Call of Duty Modern Warfare2 is that in order to unlock my weapons and continue leveling I am forced to play in public matchmaking. I would just like to send out a big, sarcastic, THANK YOU for that. Thank you for subjecting me to all the Halo 12 year olds who migrated over that cheat, harass, talk mad crap, and constantly stalk me in game.
I realize that forcing people to level in public matchmaking is supposed to assist in eliminating people boosting their stats and prevent them from cheating- but it doesn’t and that is where it is flawed. I can’t tell you how many rooms we have landed in with people glitching private matches and camping spawn points, not to mention the nukes that have gone off with friends joining the opposite team to hand out deaths to their friends so they can attain it. I can go on, but point of the matter is if people want to boost they are going to find a way to do it!
So, all you game makers, instead of all the updates to try to eliminate people cheating that cause more glitches to occur, why don’t you just do the majority of us players a favor and simply let us level in private matches. This way we can attain our weapons, play with our friends who we can trust, and not have to worry about the other half of the population that want to cheat, harass, and stalk us.
Rant Over!
