A little known fact to a lot of people is I am married to a wonderful gamer, who is has been a highly competitive for years, mostly competing in any tournament carrying Project Gotham Racing.  I am proud to announce that this last weekend was the Region 1 Combine tournament for CGS (Championship Gaming Series) and my husband, Barry Brady a.k.a H2O Double B, was draft pick 21 out of the 60 draft picks chosen.  Now, that he has been chosen to compete on PGR3 he has officially been recognized as a Professional Gamer and will earn all rights for such.

The team that picked him up was none other then 3D New York and he is blessed to be picked with one of his good friends and top PGR3 Pro-Player, R1R Badaxx, who he has already developed a great friendship and teammate mentality with. It is a great honor to have my husband associated with such a prestigious team and loyal fan base.

I have already written a blog on the uniqueness and differences this leagues holds over all others, but to reiterate: the Championship Gaming Series will be the first true professional gaming league. It offers a league structure similar to that available for other sports. The league will include team franchises that consist of paid General Managers and contracted, salaried athletes, including my husband. There will be a drafts, season play, special events and a championship, all with beginning-to-end, worldwide television coverage.

Along with my husband, I am pleased to announce many PMS/H20 members (from my other clan) were also chosen in this draft. In fact, out of the 20 PMS/H20 Members that were included into the draft, an amazing 11 of them were picked, with our very own Vanessa PMS as the NUMBER ONE draft pick of all.  She not only made history as the very first CGS draft pick every, but also by the fact that given all the choices of teams and players out there, it was a female that was chosen first. She, of course, earned this right by dominating all competition at the Combine tournament. GO GIRL POWER!

As most of you know, my good friend and ex-Frag Doll, Kat Hunter was also chosen to be the General Manager of the San Fransisco Optx. So, please congratulate my fellow gamers, friends and teammates on their amazing accomplishments and selection into the first sports-organized professional league. ALL OF YOU ROCK!
