So, everyone knows that the Frag Dolls are going through some major changes as we will soon be having a new addition to our family in the form of a girl gamer. So, I thought I would go through each of my impressions of the girls that made the top 8 and what I think they would bring to our team.  All of the girls have their pros and cons, not one was absolutely perfect in every way, but hey neither are any of us existing Frag Dolls- but each had a strength over the others and a weakness as well.  What amazed me most is that EVERY single one of them easily can fit into our little world, and never did I imagine that all the candidates would be so close in rankings with each other that it was scary. Seriously, I thought someone would stand out over the other, and we could easily eliminate one hear and there, and that was simply not the case.

I will first start out with the girls I know best and move down this list based on my relationships with them.  I must admit that I of course favored the girls I knew better at first because I indeed had personal relationships with them before this process began. I have met each IRL and considered them my friends, and it is just human nature to want my friends and PMS clan mates to come out on top.  Little did I know as I met the others, that all of them would become my friends instantly as well, and in the end I could truly root for them all.

The girl I know best is Cella PMS. My clan mate in PMS for over 4 years, an ex roommate of mine, and most assuredly one of my best friends, Cella takes the cake when it comes to “extreme hostess”. She is the type that trys to take care of everyone as she wonders around making sure everyone has what they need and offering her ear to listen.  Highly intelligent, strongly opinionated, and full of ideas she creates an open air environment around her for discussions ranging from makeup to politics at once. She can write, speak, and play with the best of them making her a very strong candidate for Fragdolls, however she did not really practice GRAW before she came to try out- a fact that I was very disappointed in as I am closer to her then the rest and expect a bit more. I even bought her a Xbox 360 for her birthday to get some practice in, but alas her girliness of the excitement of the trip lead her to prepare in other ways.  She didn’t come in last by any means of the competition; I just know she had it in her to be on top of both games as she is highly competent with FPS games.

Perfect Dark PMS, what can I say about this girl? EVERYONE loves her and it is simply impossible for this girl to have any enemies.  She is the kind of girl that absolutely adores playing with other girls and takes competition very seriously, with out being over bearing. She always has a smile on her face, is always giggling, always communicating in a positive way, and always a TON of fun- this girl rocks my socks! Seriously, if you met her you would adore her instantly as it is very clear what you see is what you get and there is not one selfish bone in her body.  She is outgoing, gregarious, and simply lights up the room with her energy and has a natural way of making others gravitate to her. Not to mention she is from the east coast and ethnic- in all honesty two things the Fragdolls greatly need as we try to represent the female population as best as possible. Between both games she came in second if you round all scores out, which shows she is also a skilled shooter! She was also by far the best communicator while playing out of anyone. The only conflict I see with this one is her age, being the only contestant under 21 and in school and you really have to be available at the drop of a hat as well as sometimes our travels lead us to industry parties where 21 is a must.

Calistah, is already pretty much a member of the Fragdolls. She has been to a million events we have been at as well as a long time community member. She pretty much acts the role of a Fragdoll as it is, helping and even filling in for us at events and such. All of us adore her as she is mellow, sweet and soft-spoken and really cares about what we do. She also plays a ton of games on multiple systems, which is important for us, as well as was the top GRAW player when we were playing the games multiple times. She wasn’t at the top when we played Halo, but hey, Halo isn’t an Ubisoft game anyway.  The only conflicts that Cali seems to have is that she is a very busy girl with lots of commitments (seriously I don’t know how this girl does it, she is so motivated!), and perhaps needs a bit more energy as she is really mellow in personality.  Other then these small factors this girl is a shoe in for being a Fragdoll.

I had to pleasant surprises in this group of girls and Angel Poo was one of them as she is a PMS girl that I haven’t even really gotten a chance to know and did not know what to expect at all. I have seen her very active in our forums but never knew her personally and I am shocked I had not noticed her much before. An absolute doll, a gamer in all senses as I feel she probably had a more diverse gaming history then all the all the others- wow she really showed me a fact I knew already, in that there are so many awesome girls that could easily be close to me but because PMS is so big I don’t have an opportunity to get to know them better.  She was vibrant and sweet, and really was interested in the people around her and getting to know the others better.  She didn’t come in high on the shooter tests, and that is the only thing I see going against her- but you expect that from someone that plays so many different games when others she is competing against only play that one.

I would say Allison is completely laid back and relaxed, yet somehow radiates confidence and sexuality even though she follows a completely strict religious background.  She is a walking oxymoron that just constantly surprises you at every turn. She has that mysterious allure yet is still out going and open at the same time, you just can’t peg it. She also radiates creative talent, her resume alone was something so unique, cute, and time consuming- you immediately appreciate her enthusiasm and interests. She not only dominated on Halo, but she was second place for GRAW showing that she was the most skilled when it came to overall FPS games. Well, it at least showed she practices her butt off on GRAW as she did not play it before coming out, and that to me shows a true competition- something we desperately need.  I think the only thing hindering her from my impression is being comfortable in front of the camera, which is very important. However she is very comfortable with people and camera training can be taught as well as gotten used to. While she is more relaxed then usually needed, she can kick it up and her energy shows once she is engaged in conversation.

Kari was one of the girls I was most glad I got to know better and might I say without offending her (who knows!), the most LIKE me I thought? She is smart, load, and comes on strong and I absolutely adore people that don’t pussy foot around like this girl did.  Wow this girl is one of those that will definitely bring attention to whatever she is doing, and that is a good thing as you want to be interesting and outgoing at events. I can so picture her on a microphone heckling the crowd and telling jokes and I’m loving it!  She rocked the house on Halo, being the only one to really give Allyson a run for her money, not to mention she was fun to watch and listen to when playing, another important key. She was one of the girls that did well in all aspects of the testing, not the best or worst on anything, and was very well rounded.  I don’t really see any negatives against Kari, other then she didn’t perform the best out of all the girls (not the worst either), and maybe her being on the west coast- any girl on the west coast has a small mark against them as we have so much representation there already.

Moe was my other fun surprise, my god this girl is a walking camera op. She was by far the most vivacious of the group, always giggling, joking, and making fun of herself which is great for the camera. Quirky is the word I would have to use to describe her and that is a GOOD thing. We need a little goofiness and fun loving in the Fragdolls and I know this girl can bring that. She is also highly intelligent and one of the top interviewees that I saw. I think she can bring a lot of pizzazz and energy that is greatly needed into the Fragdolls as she has an edge like no other. The only hindrance I saw was her performance in the FPS testing, but she did come around to GRAW later and showed us she’s got what it takes.  Frankly I don’t know how she was an alternate coming in because she most certainly held her own against every single one of these girls.

Last but not least was Gypsy, another long standing member of our community and one that I wish I had known better before this event.  Gypsy would bring something special to the Fragdolls in that her involvement in the gaming community, intelligence, and writing skills are absolutely phenomenal and stand out in every way. She is more of the observing type and likes to watch those around her, and somehow maintains her intelligent presentation even as she is giggling like a school girl when playing. Her knowledge of games on all systems and platforms highly impressed me, and she had an air of creativity and mysteriousness that was the exact opposite of Allyson’s yes just as appealing.  She also had a few quirky moments that were endearing and cute, and showed she had a great sense of humor and fun playfulness about her.  Her interviews were spectacular and impressed everyone, showing she’s got what it takes to present her self well in a formal interview, also a must for a Fragdoll. The only complications with Gypsy her performance in the FPS test, but the last few rounds of GRAW she showed the girls she’s got what it takes and can hold her own.  She also comes off as a bit shy at first, but not everyone can be load and crazy like me that would simply be too much!

Anyway, there is my personal rundown of these FABLUOUS GIRLS. I hope that I will continue to get to know them and play with them in the future and develop my relationships with them. There is no doubt in my mind that anyone that doesn’t get chosen will be the new Fragdolls in the future should the team expand and hire again. Each of these girls definatly has what it takes, so no matter who is chosen take note: Some of the others will be Fragdolls in the future…
