I know that the Xbox achievements and points system has a little way of making us all crazy and want to play the heck out of all our games just to unlock each small bit of points, so I thought you gamers would get a kick out of this.  Between February 12th and April 12th, Microsoft has begun a new, sponsored program for all you achievement addicts and swag stalkers called the “Old Spice Experience Challenge.”

Anyone over the age of 13 will be able to participate, as long as they have access to an Xbox 360 console with a memory unit or a hard drive, an Xbox Live Gold or Silver-level subscription, and specific Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Arcade games.  The premise is this: anyone who attempts to increase their Gamerscore by a mere 1,500 points in the two-month allotment will win the prize package that was based on their STARTING Gamerscore.  That’s right; you win bigger if you already have been gobbling up those points.  Microsoft and Old Spice will be doling out a half-million dollars total to the first people that register on a first-come, first-serve basis between February 12th and April 12th!

After registering, you will automatically be placed into one of three Rewards Levels based on your current Gamerscore.  Your level determines the rewards you are eligible for during each Challenge.  The more you play, the higher you can advance and the bigger the payout is.

• Level 1 (0 – 4,999 annual Gamerscore):
-The popular Xbox Live Arcade game Contra (rated: E10+) from Konami (Estimated Retail Value $50.00)
-Exclusive Old Spice Level 1 Xbox Rewards gamer picture
-An experience upgrade to Xbox Rewards Level 2

• Level 2 (5,000 – 9,999 annual Gamerscore):
-The popular Xbox Live Arcade game Contra (rated: E10+) from Konami
-Exclusive Old Spice Level 2 Xbox Rewards gamer picture
-100 Microsoft Points
-An experience upgrade to Xbox Rewards Level 3

• Level 3 (over 10,000 annual Gamerscore):
-The popular Xbox Live Arcade game Contra (rated: E10+) from Konami
-Exclusive Old Spice Level 3 Xbox Rewards gamer picture
-200 Microsoft Points
-Old Spice T-Shirt (Estimated Retail Value $10.00)
