Farewell Texas!!
Oct 18, 4:08 am

Well, I have been talking and dreaming about moving to Cali for quite some time, and now I am finally acting on my dreams!  I feel like puking from excitement, stress, and fear every time I even think about it.  But the day has finally come for me to join the majority of my teammates on the west coast

San Marcos is the new city I chose, which is about a half hour away from San Diego and an hour and a half from L.A.  It is a relatively new development that I am going to live in and it is about 5 miles from the ocean. So, don’t be surprised if I decide to turn into a beach bum later!

Why do I want to move here? Well, I was visiting my friend Raven PMS who lives about 10 minutes from this area, and I knew my cousin lived nearby. I called her to tell her to come to a BBQ we were having, and amidst the conversation she told me she was in the process of moving. She had just signed a lease and all that. But when I mentioned that I was looking to move too, she immediately went into the process of looking for apartments online.

A half hour later she shows me these sweet condos she found on Craigslist that I immediately fell in love with.  The next thing I know we are making plans to go look at them in the morning on my way out to Vegas.  14 hours later I have a lease signed, a deposit down, and a move in date of the 23rd - I don’t even fly back to San Antonio until the 24th!!!!  It literally happened that quick, and now you know why I want to puke all over!

So you thought you guys have seen little of me lately with all my travel and events? The madness will now continue until at least after the first week of November. I fly home, sort through all my clothes and junk, figure out what’s coming with me, pack, and take one of those rare and large leaps in life yet again.

The only thing that really bums me out is that I will be paying rent instead of a mortgage (which I think is an absolute waste of money).  After my husband works on selling/renting our two homes he will join me and then we can look at buying if the area still sticks on me at that time. At least we are finally going west!

So, farewell my beloved Texas but Mama has to move on! Wish me luck!
