Blog from a Community Member
Oct 09, 4:00 am

When I first read this blog I was absolutely moved and I knew I must post it. It is an experience with us from a community member standpoint, and I felt both dumbfounded and humbled when I realized what an impact we (the Frag Dolls AND community members) have had on others. Because of the enormous amount of people always around and always messaging, I tend to tune things out unless they look important or significant. This blog goes to show you that everything is significant when it happens to you.

When I sit and contemplate the differences we all have in terms of expectations, personalities and views, it is a very mind-boggling thought that we are all brought together by our true common bond - a love of gaming. Many of us game for different reasons, but we all enjoy getting to know one another and discovering new friends in this crazy online community. Many of us have turned away from the simple online pleasure of developing relationships and have met through events and hanging out in real life social situations. How we each deal with those situations is a story in itself.

Some of us stay in the back corner, some us scream for center stage, some of us search for more casual and fun relationships, while some of us seek a deeper bond and want to get to know everyone on a much more personal level. Some people think they know everyone, some act like they don’t want to know anyone yet still flit around the edges of the group, and some simply just like to be around all people. Yet even though everyone SEEMS a certain way, you never truly know a person’s motivations or expectations unless they tell you. Herein lies the problem - communication. I think we should all just spell it like it is and start sharing what truly brings us together and why it is so important (if it even is).

Me? I just want to game, find some friends I like, and to hell with the rest. That’s my side of the story!

Anyway, back to the story at hand. Great blog, Genesis. I enjoyed reading it and understanding your perspective; I only hope the rest can, too.
