Beating Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
May 27, 2:26 am

So after over 100 hours into the game I have finally beat one of the best games I have ever played: Oblivion.  I can’t even begin to tell you how addicted I was to this game, but of course I have an addictive personality- especially when it comes to RPG’s.  Oblivion had me obsessed for over two glorious weeks in my life, and when I beat it I had a supreme sense of self-satisfaction as I unlocked all 50 achievements on the 360 version and completed all quests I ever happened upon.

I am also proud to say that I was pure the entire way, all the way up to the end when I followed the steps of the dark brotherhood to unlock the last of my achievements. I not only kept my unicorn, but was also bequeathed the Shadowmare, although I never actually mounted him as I preferred my lovely, pure white horse with a horn. Call me silly, but this is they way I play RPG’s or MMO’s-GOOD. I didn’t play horde on WoW, I converted all my friends to Jedi Knights in Kotor, I was 100% good on Fable etc. I do not know my fixation on playing pure in games that offer alternate paths, but I am the kind that will start over from a save even if I accidentally do something wrong.  In fact it killed me to even do some of the Brotherhood quests at the end when I had to murder some people, but luckily most of them were bad anyway and I did not save it- I simply unlocked the achievements and kept the save from when I completed the last mission.

I bought all the homes in the game and fully furnished them, but I think the Skingrad house was my favorite as I hired a maid and it had a bunch of bookshelves and glass cases to display my pride and glories during my adventures.  I painstakingly arranged my collection of artifacts and books, for hours and I have no clue as to why, since nobody will ever step foot into my home. I think that is another freaky obsession I succumbed to, as any time I got something special it went on display in my house. I don’t know if others were this obsessed, but I do feel I need treatment soon!

I know many people are compelled in the world of Oblivion as we speak, and that everyone knows how good this game is, but for those that don’t GET OFF YOUR ASS AND GET THE GAME. By far one of the best RPG’s I have played in a long time and so extensive of a world that I could barely scratch the surface and describe it to you because I don’t have months of my life. Get it or miss out on one of the best games of the year!
