The iPhone game I’m playing most right now is PLANTS vs ZOMBIES. I like this game so much that I cant even bring myself to play anything else on my phone. This strange take on a tower and defense game has me hooked.
ABOUT THE GAME:
A horde of Zombies is trying to invade your home, and your only defense is an arsenal of zombie-zapping plants. You have to use the plants to stop the zombies dead in their tracks before they can reach your front door.
* Five different game modes - Adventure, Mini-Games, Puzzle, Survival, and the Zen Garden
* 50 levels of Adventure mode - Play through day, night and fog, in a swimming pool or on the rooftop and protect your home.
* 26 types of zombies - Each Zombie has its own special skills or defense. (Pole-vaulters, snorkelers and “Zomboni” drivers)
* 49 different types of perennials - Use peashooters, wall-nuts, cherry bombs and more to slow down, confuse, weaken and destroy the zombies. Be smart about how you use your limited supply of greens and seeds.
* Harvest the Sun to plant more and build your defense. Collect coins to buy more plants, power-ups and items to fight the Zombie horde.
* Play the game on iPhone, PC, and Web
Basically, you have five or six lanes to defend, the zombies move across your lawn or rooftop toward the entrance into your home. If they make it across the lawn and through your door then your brains get eaten.
At the beginning of each level you select different types of plants from your arsenal to fight the oncoming horde. Throughout the game you harvest sun to earn points to spend on the different plants you chose to use. There are plants that shoot peas, generate more sun or explode to target certain kinds of Zombies, because not all Zombies are created equal, some have better defenses then others.
Once you successfully complete the Adventure mode you are given access to the other game modes.
Right now, I am on my first play through on Adventure mode. I’m having a bit of trouble with the backyard fog levels. It’s hard to see the approaching Zombies in the fog. Those darn Zombies keep eating my BRAINS!!! The weakest link is my pool. I think that I am going to employ a pool cleaner, as the lawnmower isn’t cutting it as a last defense.
Any way, this game is epic. I absolutely love it. It is worth checking out and I highly recommend it.
