Vampires love Louisiana
Feb 18, 9:36 am

Back in November, Rico Fuerte and I packed up our little family and relocated to Baton Rouge Louisiana. Occasionally, his jobs in the film industry take us to different locations around the United States, depending on the project and the tax incentive. Over the years, we have had some amazing “on location” jobs in places like Boston and Hawaii.

This time, Rico Fuerte came to Louisiana to work on the last two Twilight movies. With my “mobile office” (Xbox, Kinect, Wii, 20+ games, 2 computers, 2 external hard drives, video camera, still camera, tripods, a router) and a high-speed Internet connection, I can work from anywhere, so Dan6er 6rey and I came along with.

We have been living in corporate housing in a really nice area in Baton Rouge. Our little apartment here has been great and provides all the comforts of home. Our housing complex even offers some amazing amenities like a pool, a huge media room and GTL.

Despite being here for three and a half months, we haven’t gotten out much. Both of us have had a challenging work schedule, so we would spend most of our free time sleeping, gaming, watching movies or going out to eat. We did manage to do a few things. I think I’ve taken more trips to Walmart than I’d like to admit and I got to see the sun set over the Mississippi. We have eaten some amazing meals; my favorite, Chicken and waffles from La Lou and everything at Texas De Brazil!!

Over Christmas break, I had some family come into town and we went and toured some famous Louisiana Plantations like the Greenwood Plantation and the Myrtles Plantation i.e. “one of America’s most haunted homes”. And I was finally able to eat King Cake! I have always really wanted to try it and got to do so at the Twilight wrap party. And wouldn’t you know, in my very first piece, I got the baby Jesus.

We have really enjoyed our time in Baton Rouge. I will miss it when we leave here on Saturday. Louisiana has been really good to us and so has the Production. Thank you Guillermo and thank you Twilight (Team Volturi FTW).
