Ode to the GamerBand

gam• er band |gāmər band| - noun
a flat strip of material put around the head while playing video games to prevent a communication head set from getting tangled up in your hair. It is also known to give its wearer extra pwning power and looks super stylish.
Like any good athlete knows, having your hair out of your face and sorted out before you participate in the game is an absolute must. Why should playing video games be any different?
Those of us with long hair can not afford to waste time untangling our head-set from our hair during those quick dashes to the bathroom while your lobby searches for a game. Or before the brief run to the kitchen while you wait for your headquarters to be destroyed. Those few seconds really count. You need to be quick and agile.
In the past, I have gotten my head-set untangled only just in time to put it back on. I miss the pee break or I miss the important power up from the energy drink I have in the fridge. Missing those vital moments, my friend, can have a serious effect on your performance. BUT, with a GamerBand, those transitions are made quick and easy.
Practicality isn’t the only reason to don one of these little babies. Oh no. Style points. And you say, “But Spectra, no one sees me when I play so why does it matter??” Well I say to you...it matters! You never know who may be spying on you through your Kinect. Just joking. No one spies on you through your Kinect….right? But seriously, you never know when your Xbox camera will snap a photo of you (like after you get totaled in Burnout Paradise). You just got pwned – smile *CLICK*

Nuff said.
I have started a secret society for those of us who wear them. But I can’t talk about it because it’s secret…I’ve already said too much. Forget I mentioned it. Any way, GamerBands are great to have around and you can never have too many!
Holy Smokes, check this one out, it has “Far-Infrared Technology” built in. What?! I don’t even know what that stuff is but it sounds awesome, ridiculous, but awesome. Oh look, if you buy 3 you get 1 free.

I myself have a rather extensive collection of gamer bands, as you will see in the video below. Enjoy.
