Hollywood Crooks
Aug 27, 11:00 am

crooks Whoo Hoo!! Fidget came to visit! I picked her up at the air-port (which is literally at the end of my street) and we went to grab an early dinner at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. It’s a nice place to eat that over looks the water in Marina Del Rey. Then we went back to my apartment. I got her all settled, in the guest room. I gave her the 30-second grand tour and then we turned our attention to games. What should we play first? I had to show her the Splinter Cell Conviction Demo I have been practicing and the special Xbox they sent me to play it on. It’s so cool, I love that game. Soon it was time for community game night (playing Call of Duty World at War). Fidget played in the living room and I played in the bedroom. It was fun having the two of us under one roof for community game night. I am sure the community appreciated Fidget having a slower connection. wink At least those of you who were on the other team did.

The next day we headed off to our photo shoot for Complex Magazine.  They are running an article featuring the clothing line Crooks & Castles as they partner with Assassins Creed 2 on a special project. The magazine decided to ask some Frag Dolls to come and play model for the day and Fidget and I were more then happy to oblige.

I was super excited to take part in this photo shoot even though we didn’t really know what to expect. Neither Fidget nor I have ever done anything like this before. The photo shoot took place at one of the Crooks & Castles men’s stores in West Hollywood. Everyone was really nice and the store was very hip. They had a lamp there that was made out of, what looked like a gold AK47. The store was so cool. Fidget and I had fun getting ready. We were both tricked out in cool Crooks & Castles gear. They took photos of us posing like we were playing Assassins Creed 2 on PS3 with some of the Crooks & Castles guys who were there for the photo shoot as well.

We got to do a few different on-camera interviews pertaining to Assassins Creed 2. I was given the chance to interview the Crooks & Castles guys about the AC2 inspired top-secret project they’re working on.

All in all, it was a really fun photo shoot. Fidget and I even got to go home with some wicked cool kicks and Crooks t-shirts.

After the photo shoot we decided to go have lunch. I felt like celebrating successfully making it through our day. And seeing how we were all gussied up, we needed somewhere hip to go. So I decided, since we are in Hollywood, we should have lunch at the famous Chateau Marmont Hotel. They have a beautiful little patio restaurant that I have always wanted to try.

As we enjoyed our lunch Fidget spotted Keanu Reeves at the table next to us. Unfortunately we don’t have any proof but I did manage to sneak a photo of our lunch before I was kindly reminded of the Chateau Marmont’s very strict no camera policy on the hotel’s premises. Oh well, it was one hell of a burger and I have a photo to prove it. It may be the only photo in existence of a Chateau Marmont burger.

On the drive back to my place I gave Fidget the express tour. A quick drive thru Beverly Hills with a quick cut down Rodeo Drive over to Sony Studios and right past (my favorite) the Culver Lot (where movies like Beowulf, Matchstick Men, BeetleJuice, The Wizard of Oz, and Gone with the Wind were all filmed), all of which, were on the way back to my house.

Finally, we wrapped up our day surfing the internet and bathing in a little Nazi Zombie Blood online with Phoenix and vG lethaLama.
The next day I took Fidget to the airport, our little adventure was over. I sure had a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see how the Complex article and videos turn out. I’ll keep you posted.
