Free Riding with Shaun White & Dancing Girl

I just spent 4 days visiting my Sister in Colorado. I went to watch her children as her and her husband traveled for work. My niece knows that anytime I come to visit its video game time! I always bring with me games we can play together as a family and the frontrunner this trip was Shaun White Snowboarding World Stage!
We didn’t have a Wii balance board, even thought I bet that would be a lot of fun. Luckily, the game offers regular play using just a Wii remote, and you can play with up to 4 players.
Shaun White Snowboarding World Stage takes you all over the world to ride some of the coolest locations. Puting you right on the beautiful snowy slopes in places like France, Chili, Italy, Sweden, Japan and believe it or not, even New York’s Time Square.
The game’s campaign offers the chance to travel the world competing against the best of the best. I have not finished my campaign yet because I had too much fun free riding in co-op mode with my 6yr old niece (gamer tag: Dancing Girl). She likes to play as “Sunny” because she thinks “Sunny” looks like her and it’s important to her to play as a girl pulling all those sick moves. I feel the same way, I like to play as “Jasmine” but I’m finding out each character has a unique style and different tricks he or she can pull. Not to mention you can win and unlock different kinds of prizes and stuff specific to the character you’re playing for great character customization.
We had a blast free riding around the world. Over all, this is a really great game! I was happy to see that this game was simple enough for her to pick up and play. At the same time, I felt challenged as I tried to pull off moves I only wish I could do in real life.
I love snowboarding and have ever since High School. When I lived on the Big Island of Hawaii we would go hit the volcanic “slopes” of Mauna Kea. But that was a very different snowboarding experience then you might expect. Mauna Kea is one of the highest points you can get to from sea level in the whole world, so, the breathing is not easy, there are no lifts, the snow was never the greatest and no one ever had all of the right equipment. Usually, I would ride with ill-fitting borrowed and busted equipment but when you love something you find a way to make the best of it.
Unlike Mauna Kea, Colorado offers some of the best snowboarding ever! One of the best places I’ve been snowboarding is in Steamboat, Colorado. One day I will get to take my niece snowboarding there for real but until then, we have Shaun White Snowboarding World Stage.
