There were lots of games being shown at the E3 preview event Brooke and I attended. None of them captured my attention more than Rayman Origins. I took one look at this game and was in love! It is beautiful!  But don’t take my word for it see for yourself.

Brookelyn got an exclusive interview with Gabrielle Shrager. She is the Senior Game Writer and Lead Story Designer at the Ubisoft Montpellier studio. She gives us the inside scoop on this fabulous new game.

Here is some more information about the game.

STORY:
When the Glade of Dreams is overrun by “nefurrious” Darktoons, the Fairy Council hastily invokes Rayman to save the day; but the hero of light isn’t quite all there…To help him, Rayman teams up with his best friend, Globox, and two crafty wizards, the Teensies. Together, the world’s most hilarious team of heroes will need to restore peace to the Glade or watch as their beloved home vanish like a bad dream...
Get ready to discover the roots of Rayman by collecting pieces of the Glade’s history, and assemble them to reveal the truth behind Rayman’s origins.

GAME FEATURES:
• Play as Rayman in a solo campaign or have your friends join you in the jump-in / jump-out 4-Player Co-op.
• Over 100 characters and 12 unique environments.
• Over 60 levels of 2D platforming gameplay
• Gameplay that is designed for all ages and playing styles.
• Unlock new abilities.
• The game is a platformer at its core but also features many elements of action, adeventure and beat-‘em-up gameplay.
• The game is built on an open-source game engine – the UBlart Framework – designed by Michel Ancel

One of my favorite aspects about this game are the striking visuals. This beautiful HD game features art that is all hand drawn. The character design is amazing. It’s truly like playing through a work of art. I am looking forward to meeting the Dev’s at E3 and picking their brain about this game.
