Blasting Ducks with Rocksmith

At the E3 preview event Brooklyn and I attended, one of the games featured there was Rocksmith.

Brooke got some one on one time with the game’s Creative Director, Paul Cross. He ran her through some of the basics and then turned her loose on these poor little ducks. Don’t worry, I’m talking about one of the mini games Rocksmith offers.

Personally, the mini games are what appeal to me most. I may not be interested in learning to play the guitar but I’m itchin’ to try my hand at blasting cyber ducks.

Watch Brookelyn’s exclusive interview with Mr. Cross and see actual gameplay footage from this amazing game in our E3 Preview video about Rocksmith. Here is your first look at one of the most amazing music games ever!

Here is some more information about the game.

It’s the first and only game where you can plug into any REAL guitar! This is the next stage in the evolution of the music games.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner, this game will have you rocking out while teaching you how to really play the guitar.  The game adapts to your personal ability in real-time, which is what makes it great for all skill levels.

The game also has split screen multiplayer where you and a friend can rock side by side.

Rocksmith offers a fantastic track list. There is a large music library of songs from different music genres.

There are a number of different mini games. The one Brookelyn got to play is called “Ducks”. These “guitarcade” games will help you develop essential guitar skills while building your gamerscore.

To me, one of the most amazing features Rocksmith offers is that this game lets you plug in ANY guitar. No jack on your guitar? No problem. You can get a PICK UP and it will essentially convert any guitar, giving it an “electrical signal which can then be amplified, recorded and broadcast” and therefore allow you to use it with the game.

So dust off that old guitar in the garage and get ready to rock out!

Rocksmith will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Look for it this fall. For now, you can visit www.rocksmith.com for more information about the game. ROCK ON!
