Rappin’ on the Train
Aug 14, 9:34 am

It’s been a while since my last blog, but that may be because of some recent changes in my life. Well, for one thing, I started working full time again. I was lucky enough to land a position at the Ubisoft office, which means not only do I get to see Jinxy and Rhoulette every day, but I also get to see a preview of all the Frag Doll stuff that goes on in the office. Oh, and another important thing - I get to help pick out our PUMA attire. These things are very crucial, you know.

Besides getting used to waking up 3 hours earlier every day, the commute to work has been the next most challenging thing to overcome.  Every morning, I drive to the train station, take the train for 1 hour, somehow doze off while reading or playing the DS/PSP, and then groggily walk to work. Then, I do that one more time, but reversed/backwards/forwards x 5 days a week. It’s been about 3 weeks and I’ve finally starting to get used to it. Not driving through Bay Area traffic is a huge plus, though, and I’m also averaging about 1 book a week. Plus I have a new appreciation for my PSP again. Gotta love those emulators!

But now that I’ve somewhat revisited my PSP, I’m itching for some new PSP games - one of which is an oldie but goodie. How could you not love Parappa The Rapper? So cute and so 2D! Having played the original PS1 version probably 10 years ago, I can still recite so many of the songs - “Alright, we’re here, just sittin’ in the car...Did you check the signal to the left? I forgot to close the door”. Ok, that probably didn’t make sense to any non-Parappa players, but if you’re like me, hearing those songs again brought back some good times. Plus with my Parappa skin to match, it’s alllll goooood. Chop! Kick! Turn!!
