When I got back from CES I was bombarded with one question - “Well, what did you see at CES??” Honestly, it was all a blur. By now you should already know that at these kind of events, we WORK. We work all day, attend parties/events at night and barely get any time to actually enjoy all the geekiness that we love so much. Sometimes, the only time I actually get to look around an event is when I’m on my way to the bathroom or off to get some food! Honestly, that kind of sucks. Which is why one of the only things I really remember from CES was when a ladies from Ugobe walked into the Seagate lounge (AKA our lunch room hangout) and showed us PLEO.

In a nutshell, Pleo is a robotic dinosaur. That’s like combining two of the coolest things ever! Robots and dinosaurs make an awesome combination. Plus, make it cute with blue eyes and big puppy dog paws, and you’ve just won over a team of geeky girl gamers. As the ladies from Ugobe demonstrated what Pleo could do, we all oohed and ahhed at how adorable she (I’ve decided Pleo is a she) was, and how amazingly advanced she behaved. Everyone’s motherly instinct seemed to kick in.

There’s no best way to describe it other than to see her in action, so here goes! And by the way, she’s playing tug of war and yes, we said “Scratch his butt!!” a million times.

Pleo became the most talked about toy at CES among us girls, even after 4 days of convention insanity. Overall though, this year’s CES rocked. Working at the Seagate stage/booth was a blast and as you can see by this last video, we were giddy to be finally done.
