It was just a dream…
Dec 11, 6:56 am

I know many of us can relate to the symptoms of playing too much Halo. Mine include seeing red circles on people’s foreheads and dreaming about it, while others like Katscratch have been caught saying “but we hardly used the battle rifle” in their sleep. Well, the other night, I had the most vivid Halo-ish dream ever.

From the moment I played on Ivory Tower, it reminded me of a mall. Yes, like a shopping mall. It’s got 3 floors, elevators, ramps, plants everywhere, and this overall brightness about it that makes me think that the GAP belongs on those hardwood floors on level 2. Anyways, the point is that my dream took place in a mall similar to Ivory Tower. Everything seemed very white and there were staircases everywhere. And in my hand was an Energy Sword. It wasn’t as “glowy” as it appears in the game and it actually felt quite heavy (I always thought it would be kind of light). When I looked down at it, it was made of this thick glass material and of course, my mission was to take down others with my sword.

Okay, this is the part that gets more vivid and a little disturbing. I ran around the corner and found my first victim. I took him down with one swipe and felt the edge of the sword dig into my hand. When I looked down, there was blood all over from the victim and from the sword digging into my hand. Gripping the sword with one hand while trying to swipe people with it, was much harder than I thought. Then, I ran into my next opponent. Somehow, I fell and he trapped me. In a moment of fear, I dropped my sword to save my life. And for some reason, I gave him my bracelet in return for my life. He took it and that was the end.

When I woke up, I was both disturbed and excited. Disturbed because I had to take someone down, but excited because I had held an Energy Sword in my hand!! Anyhow, I’m not going to try and over analyze it (as I’ve spent years reading books about dreams in the past), but all I can say is that this is what happens when you play too many video games.
