I got sucked in
Jul 13, 7:15 am

Lately people have been asking me where I have been, what I have been doing, and how come I’ve disappeared from the online world of IM, email, and Halo 2? Well, I’ve moved. No, not to a new house or anything. You can now find me on the Proudmoore server on WoW. Sigh, I publicly admit that I have been sucked into the world of MMORPGs. It’s my first time and I hate it, but I love it.

You know when you get a present, it’s usually a joyous occasion and you thank the person who gave you the gift or at least pretend to like it? Well, when I received WoW as a gift, my first reaction was “What is this doing in here?” added on to a suspicious and worried look that I knew that my life was on the road to being sucked away. Two and a half weeks later and I’m a level 21 human warlock teamed up with a bearded level 23 warrior and on a mission. So when Rhoulette mentioned that we were going to Milwaukee for Summerfest for 5 days, I started to panic. Not because of the fact that we’d work 9am-midnight days or that we’d be on our feet all day, but the fact that I wouldn’t be able to level up my character and the thought of falling behind from the people I was playing with! I tried not to think about it while in Milwaukee, which wasn’t so hard I guess considering that we got to play games all day. Challenging people in Halo 2, Rainbow Six: Black Arrow, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory was tons of fun. It even made me forget about my sore feet. And to top that off, we decided to have our very first FRAG DOLL SCAVENGER HUNT!!! Wooo hooo!! The two winners ended up being these two tough guys and this is what they had to find:

  • something with a star on it
  • something pink
  • half a lemon
  • a whole leaf
  • an empty Nesquik bottle
  • something that glows
  • a neon straw
  • a square piece of toilet paper
  • something camoflage
  • something with a “made in China” logo on it
  • a hair clip or hair accessory
  • a sticker
  • a stamp
  • something fruity
  • a book of matches
  • lipstick kiss on the cheek
  • a piece of music
  • something related to Ubisoft
  • a business card with the letters “F” and “D” on it

And the winners are....

These guys definitely blew everyone away in terms of being the fastest and they’re each getting a free game! Congrats!

Anyhow, we had all sorts of fun in Milwaukee (even playing poker with Zyos), but I’m glad to be back. My voidwalker was starting to miss me. Oh, and of course I can’t end this blog without my favorite picture from the trip.
