***** WARNING: this blog contains cute pictures. beware of cuteness overload!! *****
As I was sitting here thinking about what to write for my next blog, it dawned on me that I had nothing gaming related to write about. This is because my life changed two weeks ago. Over two weeks ago, I was happily playing the New Super Mario Bros and probably about 90% done with the game, stars and everything. I was already on the last castle, done with almost all the levels, and had opened up all the worlds. Plus, I was also on a roll playing Brain Age and enjoying the wacky Brain Age doctor and the Soduku puzzles. I could feel my brain getting smarter day by day! But then one day, I came across this:
This 4 week old Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy fell into my life out of nowhere. Well, I admit that I did purchase her, but it was totally unplanned and spontaneous. Yes, I realized that a 4 week year old puppy was extremely young (most puppies are sold after 8 weeks), but I guess her cuteness blinded me. So for the past two weeks, my life has been consumed by this evil little creature. She cries in the middle of the night, demands to be taken out in the wee hours of the morning, crawls into ungodly dirty spaces, gets me in trouble for peeing on the carpet, and bites at anything and everything. I can already tell, she’s quite a troublemaker. Oh, and her name is Daisy - no, not like Princess Daisy from the Mario games, more like Daisy the flower. I might be a hardcore gamer, but not THAT hardcore!
And if you think you’ve played Nintendogs and know a little bit about puppies, you’re in for a big surprise. Now that I think about it, they need to make that game a little more realistic in terms of what puppies are really like! Your puppy isn’t just going to sit there and stare at you and let you pet him whenever you want. He’s probably going to try to chew your finger off first and then pull at your pant leg while you drag him around on the floor! Plus he’ll probably pee and poop all over the room and you’ll have to use a steam cleaner to get all that crap out. They need to incorporate that into the next Nintendogs. And seriously, wouldn’t it be nice to just touch a piece of poop with your stylus and it would magically go in a bag? That just makes me laugh now.
A puppy is definitely a lot of work, but worth it if you’re willing to put in the time. So in case you’ve been curious as to where I’ve been in the gaming world, now you know. And knowing is half the battle.
