Took a break from RS3 and BA this week, which was perfect because my family friend from Singapore was in town. We were IMing right before she came and I remember she said those magical words - “I just started playing Halo these past few weeks. Do you play?” oh my goodness… do I play?!?! All I was thinking was “Sweet!! I know what we’re doing all weekend!” I told her, “By the time I’m done with you, you’ll be a pro at Halo.” I was just imagining it… my young padawan gamer… I’d show her around the maps, point out what guns to use, give her tips on shooting and dodging… hehehe. Anyways, we really did spend all weekend playing Halo and Top Spin (the best tennis game out there). Hopefully I gave her enough tips and tricks to kick all her friend’s butts.

And on a random rant… Why is it that boys get so mad when they lose and then they expect you to be so prim and proper prim when you lose just because you’re a girl? It was the Giants vs. the Dodgers in World Series 2K3 and the Dodgers had just hit a home run and stolen some bases so I was super pissed. I was seriously ready to just throw the controller at my so-called friend. But I didn’t based on some lame conversations I had about me being a poor sport. But in the end, the Giants persevered through 9 innings and and ended up with a win, which of course caused my opponent to get super pissed and immediately turn off the Xbox before I could even relish in my victory. Male ego, go figure…
