Like everyone, I occassionally have rotten days. Today was one of them. I got into the office later than I wanted to (darn public transit messing with my delicate morning routine) and left WAY later than I wanted to. Getting kicked out by the cleaning crew is especially disheartening after an already frustrating day.
Too many things to do and not enough time to do them. This industry has a way of working its employees to the bone and yet we keep coming back for more because most of us are able to be enthusiastic about the stuff we’re working with. It’s a fair trade-off in my book: I get to work my butt off to help people maximize their experience with awesome games like Splinter Cell. In the end, after all the detailed planning, tough negotiations, and tight deadlines, I’ve still gotten to participate in lots of exciting game-related things. In other words, I realize that I shouldn’t be complaining too loudly about rotten days.
