We Frag Dolls will be celebrating our 3 year anniversary at the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle next month.  It seems like a lifetime ago that we crashed PAX 2004 and tallied up a number of noteworthy firsts as a team: first event together, first time demoing Ubisoft games for the public, and first tournament sweep.  We enjoyed our immediate success in all the professional aspects of our job, but the best thing to come from PAX was the start of our extraordinary community.  It was at this nerdiest-of-nerdy gaming events that we met the first of an assortment of exceptionally rad (and crazy) people who thought that we were cool enough to hang around and play games with. 

Over the years the Frag Doll community has been the breeding ground for some powerful friendships and legendary shenanigans.  Within this overarching group there is a tight-knit core of members who have gone out of their way to assist us both online and at live events.  Around PAX time last year our appreciation for this group warranted Named status.  The way super elite mobs in WoW deserve their own names, this particular group of community members required special distinction for their awesomeness.  And thus, the Bomb Squad was born.

In honor of the 3 year anniversary of the Frag Doll community at large and the 1 year anniversary of the Bomb Squad, we have decided to offer a sponsorship to one special Bomb Squad member who has truly gone above and beyond anyone’s expectations in his dedication to this community. 

The FD Community East Coast LAN Party this past April happened thanks to the especially heroic efforts of this community member (read about it here).  He sacrificed his own time and money to organize this event for his friends from the Frag Doll community, and we have been trying to think of the best way to thank him.
