See Austin with Seagate
Mar 07, 6:05 pm

It’s been 2 months since my last Frag Doll adventure and the craving is really kicking in. I will join forces with my super-heroine sidekicks, Calyber, Valkyrie and Mischief, to take down anyone who tries to contend us in Rainbow Six Vegas 2. This time, however, we’ll be in Austin (no, not Boston), the state capitol of Texas. Thanks to Seagate, us lucky sons-a-guns are going to South by Southwest. Being that Austin is the third coast of entertainment (in line behind east coast’s New York City and west coast’s Hollywood), this festival is about music, movies and games. Being that I love all three, it’s a triple treat. More specifically, we’ll be making our presence at Screenburn, the interactive entertainment branch of the week’s festivities. Did you know that MovieMaker Magazine ranks Austin as the numero uno film making spot in the entire United States? And that’s not the only creativity streaming from the city limits either. It is home to several game developers, designers, writers, artists and other imaginative minds that make games for us to play.

We’ll be rocking it the way we did at CES - on-stage for everyone to watch us pwn boys’ faces. (In case you didn’t know, we were undeniably undefeated for all four days.) I am hoping we’ll get a chance to break away from our booty-spanking binges to see what else is going on in this little fiesta of entertainment. Not only are all the big names making their home at the Austin Convention Center, but the Championship Gaming Series (CGS) will also be holding their 2008 draft. If you’re in the area, or within a short drive, the doors open to the public this Saturday and Sunday.

Even now, I am all ready to hit the road with my Frag Doll team shirt and all. (Secret: I wear my FD shirt under my scrubs cuz the sleeves are freaking cool.) All I have to do now I brush up a little bit on my FAMAS skillz and nothing stands between me and a very fulfilling weekend.

‘Til Next Time,
Pyra FD, 007
