Pseudo Superstar
Nov 16, 12:16 am

I consider myself an average Joe. Not so much by the name JOE, more like Marcella or Pyra. But still average in the grand scheme of things within this complex universe. Through old clans and various jobs, I have been both the interviewer and the interviewee for web articles and television news pieces. Especially now that I am a Frag Doll (a continuous learning process that proves to be fun at every twist and turn), I have become accustomed to an uncharted lifestyle. However, nothing helped me to understand the depth of this change until talks of a PHOTOSHOOT developed.

The Dolls have done several shoots, generally focused around the time they hit a growth spurt (i.e. recruit new members). Their first shoot rounded up some good quality material for their launch:

Since then, the portfolio of profile shots has increased in both quantity and quality. Several photo shoots later and here I am. I’ve never been in a real studio with a real make-up artist, real hair stylist, real photographer, real lights, camera, action! I have no idea what to expect except for the warning that keeps taunting my thoughts: “We’ll be in the studio for 11+ hours.” Thanks, Jinx! Now I have NO butterflies… (If you didn’t catch, that was sarcasm.)

With a shopping list in one hand and preparation tips in the other, I have very little time to get myself together in one working piece. Especially considering ALL I want to do is go home and play Call of Duty 4 and Assassin’s Creed, my motivation to stretch myself in 3 directions is minimal. To help collect ORDER and sanity, I’ve Googled up some photo shoot tips so that I won’t have to think so much about it while I play my games:

  • Simple is good.
  • Avoid baggy clothes.
  • Avoid hats and sparkly jewelry.
  • Don’t wear too much make-up or hair products.
  • Don’t go tanning before the shoot.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Bring light snacks for energy.
  • Avoid coffee, cigarettes, alcohol and fatty foods prior to your shoot.
  • Try not to stay up all night playing games.
  • Get 8 hours of sleep the night before.
There are tons of sites that give advice on how to prepare but these were the reoccurring themes (except for the games part). On the flip side of all this mumbo jumbo, I get to be with my entire team for the first time as an official Doll. And we get to be wacky and play “dress up” which is always fun! I guess I can officially add this photo shoot to my list of madness for November Express. Pseudo superstardom, here I come!
