I thought I had strong endurance when it comes to traveling. Boy, was I wrong! Granted, I haven’t done a spree as drawn out as Valkyrie’s last trip, but twelve days is quite a bit for me. My first destination was San Antonio for the Bands of America competition held by Music for All. As you can tell by my last blog, I had quite a time at that event (lol). Side note, I got to see my old high school band perform at the Astrodome, and it produced a new feeling of school pride in me. If I could redo high school, I would be a band nerd. Maybe clarinet? Flute?
Anyway, back to the topic at hand: travel. So after that, I went to New York City to demo Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 again. I was confident in demoing the game because, as you know, I once had to do so on-stage in front of one thousand people. Well, this was a bit different. The good folks at Ubisoft entrusted me with their Wii and unfinished copy of the game (oh the things I could do), but I behaved myself and took good care of them. Beginning my third month as an official member of the Frag Dolls, I am packed up and shipped out to meet the CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot. Although he was very busy with his agenda at the conference, he stopped by a few times throughout the day to see how we were doing. It felt awesome!
With one day of freedom between that and my next adventure, I migrated to the next hotel (Staten Island) where I am now. Psyche gets here tomorrow evening, which is quite a treat. Although we’ve explored NYC and worked together as members of PMS Clan, we’ve never traveled together as Frag Dolls. So this is surely an exciting time for me. We will be making an appearance at Willowbrook Mall (New Jersey) for the Seagate tour. The setup looks awesome and the agenda even more so. Plus, we’ll be giving away those Maxtor One-Touch 4 Mini hard drives that I recently ranted about. If there are extras, I am going to try my hardest to snag one.
The hardest part about this trip is MISSING THE COD4 LAUNCH! My copy is sitting snug at Game Stop but not in my possession. AND, I haven’t had but 2 days to play Guitar Hero 3! So with these 2 games taunting my thoughts, I am dying to get home so I can get back to my games. Not to mention, Assassins Creed comes out but 2 days after I get back home. How am I going to manage my time between these 3 games? I think I might have to start traveling with my 360 again. Yes, yes, indeed.
Even when I finally get home, I leave again shortly after. Before I know it, November will be long gone.
