I broke down and did it. I reactivated my PlayOnline ID so that I could access my FFXI character. Yes, I know many of you are disappointed in me, BUT IT FELT SO GOOD! The urge stayed suppressed for 10-11 months (ignore the 2 times I logged in last winter). One more month and I could have said “I’ve been clean for a year” – but the little MMO fairy came and bit me in the butt when I least expected it to. I’ve been high and dry with my video games since January because of my job hunt and new apartment. But since my internet is finally plugged into my vein, I’ve been getting excited about Rainbow Six Vegas 2! I played for a couple days with Valkyrie, Brookelyn and Psyche so that I could learn some strats and get brushed up on the maps. Day two of practice and I fall head-over-heels in love with “Team Leader.” It’s unlike any other objective I’ve ever played in shooters and it keeps me wanting more. Well, I guess that boost of energy started making me feel the way I did when I played FFXI…cuz it released a special little MMO endorphin inside me.

So now, I’ve decided to prioritize my time between work, Vegas, FFXI and my new addictions, Nip/Tuck and edamame. I am thinking 3-4 nights of Vegas, 1 night of FFXI, and a couple nights of Nip/Tuck (while I eat a bowl of the ever-so-delicious Japanese-style soybean delicacy).

*Phew* That felt good. I got it off my chest. MY NAME IS PYRA AND I AM AN ADDICT.

Being a level 75 Monk, 75 White Mage and 75 Bard never felt so empowering.
