After returning from my awesome trip to Canada I was tired and a bit sick (thanks Jinx for the Airborne--it helped A LOT), so it was time for the recovery process to begin. I arrived in New York City early in the morning and was glad to be home. I think that has to be one of the best feelings: knowing that you’re going home, because there really is no place like it. That day had to be one of the hottest and most humid days of the summer, so I had a feeling the weather was going to be bad, but I never thought that it would interfere with my gaming.
After getting some rest in my comfy room with the air conditioner on, I decided to get online and play some Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. I was previously going through some GRAW withdrawal, what with being away from Xbox Live and my Xbox 360. For a hardcore gamer it can sometimes be hard to be separated for long periods of time. While I was playing everything was just peachy and fun! But then it began raining, then the rain got worse, then it began to thunder, and soon came the lightening. This went on for 2 straight days on and off. The highways were flooded and, most importantly, it caused some MAJOR high speed internet issues. Now what did this mean for Psyche? This meant I had to deal with the EVIL LAG monster!
Imagine upgrading your internet so that you may get better servic,e and after coming back from a trip you lag terribly for 3. days. straight. Obviously this is getting to me and I have been calling my internet provider every hour on the hour for updates, and all I get is a busy signal or a machine telling me that “I might be having technical difficulties with my high speed internet.” I KNOW THAT! I want to know when it’s going to be over! This is torture and it’s seriously starting to get to me. Please pray for me and hope that I don’t have to experience running into buildings and walls, when I am supposed to be going the opposite way.
If you have any lag stories to share, please do. It might make me feel better knowing that you feel my pain. To all the New Yorkers with the same problem, don’t worry. Psyche knows how hard times are; things will get better and the lag will end.
