A few weeks ago Pyra and I went to the Willowbrooke Mall in Wayne, New Jersey with Seagate to show off all of the systems that contain Seagate storage units. In case you didn’t realize, Seagate has hard drives in Xbox 360’s, Playstation 3’s, and of course PCs. When I thought about the mall tour I could not help but think about that 80’s singer who hit it big. What was her name again? Oh yeah, Tiffany! Pyra and I felt like present day Tiffanys as we played on the consoles against people and showed them how the Frag Dolls fragged!
For three days we talked to gamers of all ages. It was nice to see that there was a larger demographic that were interested in video games. On Saturday and Sunday, Pyra and I ran a Naruto tournament and it was such a hit! We had tons of people playing, including some hardcore Naruto fans who whiped our booties in the finals. It was awesome seeing the crowd that we drew in from people who were in the mall. We actually got people to come back the next day for another chance at winning the grand prizes, which included a Seagate 80 GB hard drive, an “I play with Dolls” t-shirt, a Naruto wrist band and a copy of Naruto: Rise of a Ninja for the Xbox 360. We also got to interview a young boy who made it to the semi finals of the tournament. He was beating up people twice his age and managed to get some awesome prizes.
We also had a few girls play in the tournament and it was awesome seeing that. One of them actually made it pretty far in the tournament and she used her gamer tag, Yoshi, when she played.
Here are some pictures from our Mall tour event:
The next stop of the mall tour is going to be in Texas, November 30th – December 1st. Check out our calendar for more updates!
Game on!
