Finally, Guitar Hero 2 is here for the Xbox 360! This means its time to let my inner rock star shine with the brand new X-plorer Guitar Controller! Ahhh yes, sitting at home - in my pj’s with my messy hair - going nuts on hard/expert mode (depending on the song), then hearing the crowd roar after I complete a song with over a hundred-note streak is an amazing feeling!
I’ve always been a fan of the Guitar Hero series since part one for the PlayStation 2, so I would have to consider myself a veteran fan. So far, Guitar Hero 2 for the 360 has been freaking awesome. The songs are the same as the PS2’s Guitar Hero 2 but with a couple of new ones, such as “Dead!” by My Chemical Romance and “Billion-Dollar Baby” by Alice Cooper. The online leaderboards are another good add-on! I can see who on my friends list has a higher score than me and try to beat their score (Mr. Nutty, you’re going down!) The only issue I have with the game is that when you are talking with a friend in private chat (meaning while your mic is plugged into your guitar), there is some awful feedback. This sucks because I don’t like hearing myself talk. It’s kinda like having a loud echo...but other than that, it’s all good!
Game on!
