For those of you who recall my previous blog, I got to attend the Guinness World Record event in New York City, where “chris4life,” a masterful Guitar Hero III gamer, got the highest recorded score on expert mode in the song Through the Fire and Flames. Watching this guy play was extremely impressive! When it came to the difficult parts he actually played the frets with both of his hands!

Guinness World Records also had a book giveaway at the event and I was one of the lucky few who walked away with it clenched in my arms. It’s an awesome gamer’s bible full of gaming facts and records from all the consoles. There is also a list of records that were made by gamers on several different games. It really challenges you to try and break some records.

After hearing some awesome news on record attempts, I proudly announce my gaming heroes of this month: The UK Frag Dolls. These ladies are attempting to do what no group of women have done before—break the record for the longest continuous play on an FPS shooter. The game will be none other than Rainbow Six Vegas 2. These brave women are aiming for a 24 hour streak. The coolest part of all this is that they are doing this for a good cause—breast cancer. Let’s support the cause and these ladies by DONATING.
