My Fellow Frag Dolls and I just recently attended The World Series of Video Games. This was my first ever tournament / Bring Your Own Computer or Console at the Clancy Con area. This event consisted of 4 days of tournaments on PC and Xbox 360, as well as LAN areas like Clancy Con that were active 24 hours a day! I have never seen so many hard-core PC and console gamers in one place all at the same time. Everywhere I turned I saw gaming. Gamers who didn’t plan on sleeping much brought their blankets, pillows, and even their coolers so that they would not leave their tricked out, top of the line PCs all by their lonesome. The PCs at this event were works of art so I can understand why they take care of them so well.
I got to meet some cool people while I was there, like my favorite little robot R2D2, who I believe was robbed the title of Mr. WSVG. As well as the unstoppable Hammer and Anvil team who place 1st, 2nd and 4th in the GRAW tournament (you go boys!). Don’t worry guys next time the Frag Dolls will be prepared to kick some booty. As for the other events that took place there were several smaller tournaments like the Geometry Wars tourney, the Dance Dance Revolution tourney (in which I almost made it to the finals), the Far Cry tournament, the tug of war, and the PC GRAW tournament. But I cannot forget the jousting area where Brookelyn and Athena Twin knocked me out a few times (next time I wont be so nice).
But one of the highlights of the event has to be playing GRAW in the Clancy Con area with all my new gamer friends and my fellow Frag Dolls. It was nice knowing that I was not the only person who spends hours at a time playing a game without getting tired and take gaming so seriously.
