Assassin’s Creed
Jul 27, 9:00 pm

Being a Frag Doll is freakin’ sweet. Not only do I get to do an array of different game-related things in the industry like compete, go to gaming conventions and a whole lot more, but I also get to go to E3 and play games that won’t come out for a long time!

Muahahahahha, that’s right peeps - I got to demo Assassin’s Creed! This game is AMAZING!!! While getting a walkthrough of the game, I could not help but say “WOW” several times, while my eyes lit up and my jaw dropped.

The feedback that the game got from the media was phenomenal. Most of the people who left the Assassin’s demoing room gave the game a raving, “this-game-is-badass!” review.  Seeing as I got to actually play it myself, I got to see why they felt this way!

In the demo, you get to see an amazing view of the world around you. The graphics are breathtaking and an accurate depiction of the medieval era (I am a huge history nerd, so i know my medieval architecture). The movement of the assassin is very free-flowing; in this game, its not at all difficult to get the controls down. Once you get the basic concept of engaging your enemy and using the right attacks at the right time, it gets really interesting. I also got a taste of interacting with the crowd around me. I learned how to use the crowd to my advantage and how to blend in with them.

The crowd interaction is pretty sweet in this game. Every person in the crowd is different and will react to you in a different way. Some might ignore you while others will bug you - it’s up to you to figure out how to handle that annoying peasant woman who is trying to take your money (darn gold digger)!

The assassin not only does sneak attacks but he also has direct sword fights with enemies. This had to have been my favorite part of the E3 demo. He fights in a saber stance (I believe) and does it beautifully. It’s all about timing and eliminating your current enemy to go on to killing the next one. There are various sword movements that you can both execute and counter!

I honestly cannot wait to get my hands on Assassin’s Creed!

Game on!
