Its been a month and a half or so since I heard the life altering words, “Nelly and Alyson” on the day that the new Frag Dolls were chosen. Since then my life has changed so much. Our first day on the job was an event known as E3. Talk about an insane first day on the job!
My duties as a Fragdoll were to Demo Ubisoft games like Enchanted Arms (a next-gen turn based RPG), interview developers on games that will be coming out this year, compete against E3 attendees on Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, and talk about games with other hardcore gamers like myself. The convention center is huge so when I was on my own I got lost a few times, but what a better place to get lost than E3? No matter where you go you always manage to find a cool booth that makes your jaw drop.
One of the major highlights for me at E3 was playing Red Steel. I was so amazed by this game and by the Nintendo Wii. I saw it, I got to touch it, and most of all I got to play it. Red Steel is a game that blew me away! At first it’s a bit tricky getting the controls down, but once you steady your aim and coordinate your movements the game becomes addictive! With a wide range of weapons like pistols, sub machine guns, shotguns, and (my favorite) the Katana, this game will keep you in front of you TV for hours. Playing the Wii reinforced my love for Nintendo all over again.
