No More PAX POX
For all of us who got the PAX POX here are some tips and ideas for it to never happen again but first a PAX POX Penny Arcade Comic by Bill Amend…

1 ) Wash our hands.- I did this the entire event and I also had antibacterial lotion that I used non-stop but I still got sick. But this is something you should always do and is definitely a DUH!
2 ) Get enough sleep. - This is a hard one to do at an event since we haven’t seen each other in so long and we want to spend as much time together as possible. With that said, if you have 5 free minutes, take a nap! Or you can all crawl in one bed, and have a group nap. 
3 ) Drink enough fluids but DO NOT SHARE WITH ANYONE! - This is one tip that I did not follow. When you are working at an event, finding the time to get a drink is extremely hard. So when you see one of your friends with a bottle of water, the first thing you do is ask for a sip. Well not anymore! If in dyer need of a drink, go to a water fountain! They do still exist, and it’s free. One piece of advice though, let the water run for 30 seconds first.
4 ) Take your vitamins! – I took Airborne everyday I was at PAX and it did not help. Maybe I need to try another, but this is always a good thing to take when out of town just use something else besides Airborne.
5 ) Sanitize all Controllers – This was not mandatory but it really should have been. At E3 most everyone wiped their controllers every hour. This is a rule that should be implemented for every gaming convention in the future.
6 ) Hand sanitizer dispensers- These should be on every corner of a convention floor.
Now people we better follow some of these tips and ideas for our next gaming event adventure. If exhibitors and attendees do their part then we will not have the Nerd Flu outbreak again!!! I think Penny Arcade is on the right track when they made a comment about getting Purell to possibly sponsor next year. I think they are on the right track and next years PAX will be just as awesome as this years PAX without the flu!

If you all have any other great tips to stay healthy while out of town please share!
