Comic Con Community Collaboration
Feb 10, 12:00 pm

Welcome to the Comic Con Community Collaboration.  These collaborations are from me and our Frag Dolls Community and our thoughts about this past weekend at New York Comic Con. We had a great time and wanted to share some of our memories with you all or as us Texans say, y’all!
The New York Comic Con was my first as it was the first for many of us and all I can say is WOW!  From the cosplayers to the booths to the people to the video games, it was one heck of a show! The games we showed at the Ubisoft booth wereH.A.W.X., Tenchu: Shadow Assassins, and Broken Sword. We also had the arcade game, Turtles in Time that we gave away in a text to win contest. I tried to win it because who wouldn’t want a vintage arcade machine?  Unfortunately I wasn’t eligible… :( We also gave away two Gyroxus gaming chairs, games, shirts, flight sticks, and more. If you haven’t tried the Gyroxus chairs you should because they are unbelievable especially when playing the game H.A.W.X.
My most favorite part of Comic Con was being able to see the Frag Doll Community members, some for the first time. You guy’s all rock! We had a blast together especially when we got lost in New York…lol. All-in-all Comic Con was a great and memorable success!

Firstly, let me say it’s an honor that I get to be included in this blog! It’s been a great weekend here in NYC. This was the first Comic Con I’ve attended and what an experience it was! Where to even begin? There was what seemed like a million people around, my favorite part of course was finally putting faces to the names I’ve become accustomed to through the Frag Doll forums, everyone so unique in their own way, bringing their individuality to the table. I can honestly say I’m proud to call each and every one of these people my friends.  I got to do a little shopping, bringing a few things home to remember my wonderful weekend; including a Pink Domo!!!! I can honestly say I will definitely be attending again next year. Thanks to everyone for making my weekend so great!

Right then, my turn!  This year’s Comic Con was, amongst other things, bananas. I had tons of fun and did so much. I got to film a bunch of great things, take some pictures and hang out with an awesome bunch of people. Between all the shenanigans and such, I played the heck out of Tenchu: Shadow Assassins and H.A.W.X.. Props to Ubisoft for showing these games off.  It was also a ton of fun to play the Turtles in Time arcade machine, Look for some of that fun later on. Keep it classy dudes!

Captain’s log, umm… One?  So New York Comic Con is now winding down and in a few hours I got to get on the train and go back home.  I’ve seen some cool stuff this weekend, but the great thing about these events is the people.  You get to see the new games, movies and comics during the day and then talk with them with your friends at night!  I got to hang out with all my gamer friends in real life for a while, as well as make some new ones. This is my second NY Comic Con.  I remember I was hesitant to make the trip last year, but this year I knew I couldn’t miss it!  I’d recommend anyone who gets the chance to go to one of these events to take it!  You’ll find yourself among some of the greatest people you’ll ever meet!

O gee… Where to start? There was just way too much things to talk about for one paragraph or even one blog. This is my third year at Comic Con, so I guess this makes me the veteran of this group, and this has been the best Comic Con yet! Not because all the events and the booths were great, it was because of the amazing company around me. The cosplay was awful as well as good. The games like H.A.W.X., are so good; I have been smitten and its one of the ‘must haves’ for this year for me.
Even after the Con, the party didn’t stop it for us. We had adventures around NYC, helping Slickrick find the stairs, looking for Mechangel’s luggage; we got “funned” and much more stories. I have had one of the best weeks in my life and the only thing that could have made the weekend better is if more of the community could attend, but I still love y’all!

New York Comic Con was my first time at a large comic book convention. It was also my first time at any convention that I wasn’t working or volunteering for. I got to hang out with a lot of my FD community friends, as well as made some new friends. I was impressed by all the quality art work on display, and surprised that there were also rows of merchandise and crafts to peruse.  I bought a really cute hat with cat ears, that I lost the next day unfortunately, and the lady was sold out when I went back to replace it. I won some really nice art prints in a panel, and got a lot of art signed by my new favorite colorist, Nei Ruffino! It’s really nice to be able to wander around knowing that it will be easy to meet back up with friends at the Ubisoft booth.  Unless they are currently raffling off prizes, because then the Ubisoft booth is swarmed with eager con-goers. Hope to see more of you there next time!

New York Comic Con 09 had to have been one of my favorite events I have ever been to. Not only was the event amazing but the company and friends in the FD Community and the Dolls themselves. I will start with the Con and say the reason I love these events is because you can be yourself in public. You can go and totally geek out without judgment from everyone around you. I am a big gamer/comic fan and I felt at home at comic con. I got to play the newest and unreleased games like Madworld, Ghostbusters, H.A.W.X., and Prototype (while also getting to see demos of Xmen Origins: Wolverine which in my opinion looks to be the best representation of Wolverine and did not hold back any punches with its blood and gore content). I also got to see all the newest and independent comics out on the market. Hanging out with the community (hanging with people I have hung out and meeting people for the 1st time like Marcus, Vixen and Meg) is a huge reason I come to these events. From the crazy nights, to the weird, awkward but HILARIOUS photos, these times remind me why I love this community and the people apart of it. So to finish it off Comic Con 09 was an AMAZING time and I can’t wait to do it again. Wish we could do this EVERY weekend!

Well that’s all folks. If you all ever get a chance to attend one of these events, you should because it will be an experience to remember.
