PSYCH!!!

Haha, did I trick you all???

Gosh, I wish I had a week like that but when you’re a parent, life isn’t so relaxing. If I had a week off and I could go anywhere in the world, I would take a trip to Dubai. Have you all seen what they have done to that place? It’s breathtaking…

Here is a little insight to what is going on in Dubai…

“The Palm Islands are artificial islands in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on which major commercial and residential infrastructure will be constructed.” (Wikipedia)

“The Universe is a set of islands that will be built off the coast of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. They will form a cluster of islands in the shape of the solar system. The Universe will have 3,000 hectares of land and will take 15 to 20 years to build.” (Wikipedia)

“The World is a man-made archipelago of 300 islands constructed in the shape of a world map and located four kilometers off the coast of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.”(Wikipedia)

Look at this picture, it truly is unbelievable.

How did the Prince come up with this stuff?  It’s mind boggling. Dubai is my #1 place I would like to visit before I die. What’s yours?  Of course I have such places like Australia and China on my list but Dubai is by far my #1 choice. Imagine taking a helicopter tour, all I can think of is WOW!
There is always a price to pay for something this spectacular and that price may be unstoppable. Nature is the biggest problem these engineers face when it comes to making artificial islands. The ocean’s current is a force to be reckoned with. Nature has its own set of rules and I don’t know if mankind will be able to stop that. Those islands are going to cost billions of dollars just to upkeep them. Only time will tell. Good thing Dubai has plenty of money because they’re going to need it to keep these artificial islands a float.
