PAX is the same every year, except bigger, and no two gamers have the same experience.  Some spend all their time in the BYOC or Tabletop. Others mix in panels, concerts, tournaments, exhibition hall, or the Omegathon.  The gentlemen at Penny Arcade have had my respect for years and years, but every year I love them a little more.  Here’s my PAX:

Kari, one of our 8 final Frag Doll candidates and favorite girls ever, threw us a party at the Venom club on Friday night.  Billions of community members showed up and it was 2 metric tons of enjoyment.

Congratulations to the 5 people who won Plantronics headsets on Saturday.  It’s awesome… except now they can talk trash back to me.  Uh oh.

End Day 1.  Exhibition hall closes.  Frag Dolls throw an impromptu Guitar Hero party for ourselves and our Bomb Squad and the Enforcers in the Ubisoft booth.  I’ll never be able to play at home again.  Not after a screen the size of my house and a surround system that shook the foundations of my faith.  They could hear us over in the Red vs Blue panel.

Rhoulette and Bomb Squad member (and awesome friend) SWP finally clash in a Guitar Hero duel to the death.  Rhoulette won in a best-of-3.

Seppuku let me wear her Fruits Basket kitty hat for a while, and Calyber sported the mouse.  I must obtain one of these.

Some of my buddies who were competing in the Battlefield 2 tournament stopped by.  I’m sorry I didn’t get to see more of you guys. :(

I watched the other Frag Dolls compete in GRAW and almost tackled the tournament admin when I found out the 360s were all standard definition 4:3 STRETCHED widescreen on a setup perfectly capable of actual HD, but he thought it would be too much of an inconvenience to him to switch the systems to actual HD.  I’ll bite my tongue on my opinion of that.

I gave away 5 more headsets Sunday afternoon, plus the obligatory picture!

Strange things happen with left over stickers at the end of a long and tiring event.

I think Gus likes my Space Invader shoes.  Mmm, tasty.

Sunday after PAX closed a few of us visited Porkfry to partake of delicious tacos.  I assure you, it is not to be missed (and Mr Stabby agrees).  Those tacos make Frag Dolls CRAZY!
