Like many other gamers, I was recently pointed to an article about GGL (Global Gaming League) trying to get videogames into the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
I was all set to write a cynical blog about this, and struck up a conversation with Rhoulette and our friend, who we like to call “Phast Phil.” He’s a world class track star who was set for the Olympics a few years back, and his input on this particular subject is really valuable. So, for the first time in known history, a dude has graced our podcast as something other than a strange specimen to be examined under a big lense. Anyway, we started arguing and going back and forth, and after a minute or two I demanded everyone put on a headset because the conversation had the makings of an interesting debate podcast. So now, coming to you same-day… the freshest podcast ever (!) is a 24 minute debate about whether videogames belong in the Olympics, and whether curling sucks or not.
