This is not an original challenge. I have seen several forms of it around before, but this one is for the Frag Doll community, because we’re tight like that.
See, I’m not big on New Years Resolutions for a couple reasons. One, they never last more than a week (for me, anyway). Two, since I am flawlessly awesome there’s very little for me to resolve. Three, I have a hard time thinking of anything that doesn’t feel trite.
So this year I’m not even going to mess with frivolous things like trying to better myself as a person. Instead I’m going to try to get stuff done, using New Years as a starting line. Hence the “Challenge.”
Here’s how it works:
You have a bunch of games, some of which got tossed aside at some point, but which you’d still probably like to finish. This challenge is to see that you do it. Pick a few games you haven’t finished, but that you want to. There’s a thread about it in our forums. Post your chosen games in the thread. Let’s make the minimum 3 games so you have to actually work to complete the challenge.
Now that you’ve decided, and publically committed yourself to the challenge (a commitment in your head is no good because you can easily change your mind) you have to finish all those games BEFORE you allow yourself to purchase any new ones.
If your Christmas was anything like mine you’re set for a while anyway, but the point is in the commitment. Even if it takes until March (and you’d better finish before then since Oblivion will be coming out) you can’t buy any new games until you finish these ones.
For the record, here are my game picks:
Kingom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones
Kameo: Elements of Power
Good luck! I’ll race you.
