As most of you know my birthday was this past week on the first. Of course, I had a blast hanging out with the friends and celebrating being 21 again but the presents were the best! I got one of my favorite games of all time, Sims 3. I know, I know, for being a FPS and hardcore Call of Duty girl, I definitely have a girly side when it comes to The Sims. When I was younger I had the whole first Sims collection and all the expansions for it. It was a blast to be able to have more options to build your house the way that you have always wanted, make characters that you wish you could see or be in real life and to just fantasize the way you would want your world around you.
The First Sims was simple. You had a home, a job, had kids, got promoted in your job, ate, slept, had a normal hygiene schedule and had an assortment of different furniture to choose from. This was even more fun when the expansions came out to give you more options but you still were so limited in what you could do and what you could be.
The Sims 2 was a big change from what the original Sims was. You were able to see things in totally different ways (3D). You were able to make your Sims look unique by changing the face definition, style of clothing and their personality, but yet you were still limited. From limited personality traits, job caps and limits on free roam there always seemed to be something missing.
Now for the new Sims 3 it’s a totally different ball field in the aspects of limitations. You get to make your character unique in almost every different way from bone structure in their face, their body structure, muscular toning, depth and style. The amazing thing is that you can share your character, furniture and houses that you have built online on an interactive marketplace where your creations can be shared with the world. Also you can purchase all sorts of vehicles and bikes, which have their own personal designs and style, to take you into the community for any types of regular activities. There are so many different things you can do I don’t know if I will ever be able to get off this game! I sure can’t wait until the expansions come out for it. Cause I am hooked!
