Lately the Frag Dolls have been traveling all over the country quite a bit. It’s been a lot of fun, but also incredibly tiring at the same time. You may see us at our events and parties all dolled up and ready for the late evenings / meeting tons of people. But while the parties are fun they take quite a bit of prep work, and that process is something I want to share. The girls each prepare in their own unique way with every event, but for me its all about the shopping.
This weekend was busy; I haven’t hung out with anyone in Raleigh ever since I moved here, yet I know a few people that live in the area. So I decided to get off my gaming butt and make some phone calls to hang out with the ladies: Carolyn (Arumia) and Bianca (Ms Bishop). Well yes, we wanted to just game all day and all night but I had an issue. I needed a girl’s opinion of what I should buy to change my whole wardrobe. Instead of bringing the guys, who just complain and say ‘that’s hot’ all the time, I needed the girls. So Bianca, my roomie (Ben), and I headed to the mall for some intense shopping.
Now, I have never been much of a shopper until I became a Frag Doll. In fact I was probably one of the biggest tomboys growing up and to this day prefer wearing backetball shorts and t-shirts (even going out), but when it comes to the doll events - my girly side comes out full force. Some people know what they want in a mall and tend to write lists and be all organized. Then there is me...yea, not so much on the list thing. I’m extremely spontaneous and so outgoing that I am just too cool for lists and such...lol. So by going there without a list, I knew that I would be a little careless of what I bought; but I think I actually did well. I ended up getting a red dress, a couple of button up blouses, and a few pairs of jeans (that could go with heels). We did occasionally get distracted by the signs at Gamestop and.... might have gotten stuck in there most of the time - Ended up buying Battlefield Bad Company 2 oh yea!!!
At the mall, especially at my age, its almost a requirement to be goofy and just have fun with everyone. So occasionally posing next to the manikins and trying on ridiculous outfits was always first on our minds, who says going to the mall can’t be fun? A huge thanks to Carolyn and Bianca for helping me in my shopping shenanigans, without the additional female perspective who knows what goofy outfits I may have picked for the next event!
