Obsession with Plants vs Zombies

Well, I am at it again, I’m completely into the “Plants vs Zombies” on my iphone! Just like how I was with Tiny Wings, I have become obsessed with defeating the Zombie Horde (or ex’s...haha). I’m easily distracted and constantly getting bored while at the gym, but this game helps pass my time. I’ve noticed when playing this game on the bike that time just flies by. So if you’re like me and hate to do your cardio, this totally works.
You have five lanes to defend (six on some levels) against the zombies, who enter on the right side of the screen and lurch slowly towards your home on the left. You select six plant types from your arsenal at the beginning of the level and then place them strategically on the lawn where they can fire on the approaching undead, who will fight back by munching on anything in arm’s reach. As you progress through the game you will unlock many new plants to help you defend your property. Most of them act as stationary guns, shooting peas or launching watermelons or butter. Some protect the others, some explode, and some serve more specific purposes. Certain plants are effective against certain zombies, and vice versa. Night modes and rooftop modes make the game more challenging and at times can cause you to get a little too involved. I have found myself quite often yelling at my iPhone in these modes.

There are two items you collect during gameplay: coins are collected to buy new plants for future games, but the main form of currency is sunlight. Each plant costs a certain amount of sunlight to create, so little balls of sun will fall periodically to the earth, and you must click on them to add to your supply. The sunflower will be your most important crop providing sunlight that can be used to power the rest of your vegetable army. Watching for and collecting sun occupies your time between planting. If you haven’t played this game yet, it’s a must have. So get to it gamers!

In Plants vs Zombies you are the proud owner of a double-wide protecting your backyard from a zombie siege. And let me tell you this game is intense, there is nothing worse then having a nicely manicured backyard and having waves of zombies trying to devour it (haha). Now to the basics…

You’ll face many different types of zombies in this game. There are zombies in football gear, handi-capped zombies, zombies on steroids, and many more. The brain eating armies are on the warpath, and your back yard is the only thing standing in the way from total zombie apocalypse. So its up to you to raise your armies of vegetation and destroy the incoming horde.
