I’ve been getting into watching T.V series but I’ve noticed that I tend to watch them over and over again. You know, the ones that you just can’t get enough of, either make you laugh hysterically or keeps you into each moment of the story that is evolving. Well, I decided to share with you my top favorite series that I have to say is a must see.
I have always loved the history of the English society, so when they decided to make a series of King Henry VIII, I was all over it. Growing up with a religious family and knowing a bit of religious history, it was nice to see the conflicts of what a King, like King Henry VIII, had to go through between Lutheran and Catholicism. Sometimes it just seemed confusing, so watching this series closely is very important.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers portrays King Henry VIII in The Tudors, and this makes the king look better than he actually was. The king was reportedly a handsome prince in his younger days, but a leg injury caused him to cut back on athletics and he had a fondness for food- to the point of being gluttonous. The king was obese and probably not nearly as attractive as actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
The king indulged in his own appetites and desires. He had a cruel streak and often turned on his wives and advisers. In the season three finale he coldly annulled his marriage to Anne of Cleves and started a relationship with Catherine Howard.
Lord Cromwell, who had been his close adviser, was the person who arranged King Henry’s marriage to Anne of Cleves (Joss Stone), so the king was displeased with Thomas Cromwell (James Frain). Cromwell had enemies among the king’s advisers and they took their opportunity to get rid of him by accusing him of treason, which resulted in his execution by beheading.
King Henry VIII was married six times. In the fourth season he will be with his fifth wife, Catherine Howard. For a historical perspective following are the six wives of King Henry VIII http://www.suite101.com/content/the-tudors-on-showtime-story-of-king-henry-viii-a119663
Six Wives of King Henry VIII
Catherine of Aragon was married to King Henry VIII from 1509 to 1533, when the marriage was annulled. Catherine of Aragon and King Henry VIII had a daughter, Mary.
Anne Boleyn was married to King Henry VIII from 1533 until 1536, when she was accused of treason and beheaded. Anne Boleyn had promised the king a son but only was able bare the king a daughter, Elizabeth.
Jane Seymour was married to King Henry VIII from 1536 and died after childbirth in 1537. Jane Seymour bore the king his much desired male heir, Edward, and was considered his ideal wife.
Anne of Cleves and King Henry VIII were married in 1540 and the marriage was annulled the same year. The marriage was never consummated, as the king found her unattractive. They became good friends and she was treated as an honorary sister.
Catherine Howard and King Henry VIII were married in 1540. Howard was beheaded in 1542 for adultery.
Catherine Parr and King Henry VIII married in 1543. The marriage lasted until 1547, when the king died.
For my second choice in my top picks was a no brainer. I’ve always loved the movies Gladiator and 300 and to have both in one whole series is the bomb diggity. I know what most of you are going to say and yes the guys on the show are absolutely gorgeous but that isn’t the only reason why the show is amazing. For the guys, you have your blood and gore with great action scenes and for the ladies, well you can just stare and smile. Because I definitely do every time I watch the show...Did I mention it has a great storyline...lol

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena
In the prequel, Batiatus (John Hannah) is not yet the head of his family or of the gladiator training school. Gannicus is the lead gladiator in the Ludus, but the House of Batiatus hasn’t earned social respect or the right for its gladiators to fight in championship bouts. Gannicus struggles to turn around the House’s luck. Gannicus – newly promoted to the top position at Batiatus’s ludus - is best friend to Oenomaus and his wife Melitta, forming an unlikely triangle of loyal friendship.

Reno 911
For the funny side of my choice favorite T.V. series, Reno 911 is my absolute favorite show of all time in comedy of T.V. series. From the crazy situations that they get themselves into they just screw it up and make things worse but somehow manage to keep there jobs. I really don’t know how that works but thank God its a telvision show. If you like watching the show Cops without the seriousness in it and just want to relax with friends and watch a show of just how much people can just screw up a simple task. You have got to watch this series…
The lives of seven incompetent Reno sheriff’s deputies are detailed in this “Cops” style parody. Among the colorful characters are Lt. Jim Dangle, the short shorts-wearing, flamboyantly fruity supervisor; Deputy James Garcia, who makes police brutality an art form; Deputy Trudy Wiegel, the manic depressive; Deputy Clementine Johnson, the skanky former magician’s assistant; Deputy Travis Junior, the redneck who is never seen without his kevlar vest and sunglasses; Deputy S. Jones, the semi-competent ladies’ man; and Deputy Raineesha Williams, the bootylicious black cop with an attitude.

Those are my top picks for T.V. Series of all time. Now just to warn you that these series aren’t for children but are for mature audiences only. So if you’re not into blood and gore or sexual content, you probably don’t want to see these.
