Call of Duty Black Ops Multiplayer Tips
Feb 19, 7:03 am

Playing Call of Duty, I get a lot of messages asking for my advice on how to play or what equipment to use for multiplayer. Having played a lot and a lot and a lot and a lot and a lot and a lot… sorry, I got carried away for a moment. Having played Call of Duty for years now, I figured I’d share how I set up my classes. Now this is my own opinion on what to use, but it will give you a starting point that will allow you to adapt each class to fit your own personal style of dominating.

Core Team Death Match

For all of you run and gunners it all depends on how you want to dominate the other team. I usually have two different classes set for this mode. One is for stealth and one for straight up busting in and firing at everything in sight.

1.  For my Stealth class I usually use the AK74u with the silencer attachment.  However, the gun isn’t available until higher levels, so in the beginning I would definitely recommend the MP5 with the silencer. When you fire a weapon playing in Core mode, you show up on the enemy’s map as a red dot. Using the silencer attachment is very important in order to remain undetected by the enemy. As for perks for this class, I recommend Ghost, Sleight of Hand and Ninja.  Ghost is great to use when the enemy calls in a UAV or even an aircraft because you’re not detected. Sleight of hand is very important because most of the time when you die, it’s usually because you’re reloading your weapon. The reload process takes forever! It’s what causes you to die most of the time. Sleight of hand drastically shortens that time. . Finally, Ninja is the perfect perk for being stealthy; the enemy can’t hear you running up on them. This is perfect if you’re trying to get your knifing challenges.

2.  The second class that I use is for when I just feel like straight up running around shooting up everyone.  I usually use the PM-63 with the attachment of rapid fire. As for perks, for this class I use Lightweight, Sleight of Hand and Marathon.  Lightweight is amazing because your mobility goes through the roof. Having lightweight allows you to aim in faster to have the first shot at your opponent. Sleight of hand, for the same reason I said above, and Marathon which enables you to sprint further than usual.

Assault rifles are handy if you’re the type of person that sits back and likes to pick people off. The AK-47 is a powerful gun, but you have to be careful of its kick when you fire it. Be sure to shoot in bursts while shooting long range shots. As for the attachment I use, I prefer the silencer. The perks I usually use are: Scavenger (pick up ammo from my dead enemies. I hate running out of ammo before a killstreak!!!), Sleight of hand, and Ninja.

Hardcore Team Death Match

I usually you want to be as sneaky as possible.  You don’t want your enemy to know exactly where you’re shooting from, so silencers are extremely important. Accuracy is also extremely important, but be aware that silencers take away your range.  You want to make sure that every shot counts, so burst your shots.

The main class that I usually use is the Commando (very accurate and great damage), with the silencer attached.  You have to level up to get to the Commando though, so start out with the M-16 with the same attachment. As for perks, I use Hard line (one less kill to get to your streak), Sleight of hand (reloading faster) and Ninja (silent while running).

So in a short story turned long, that explains what I usually use on Black Ops multiplayer. J Enjoy!
