Bringing Out the Goodies!
Jan 16, 10:00 am

You know when growing up your parents gave you an allowance for doing the chores around the house and always telling you to make sure you spend your money wisely, or to put it in the bank to save up. Well, for me Christmas seemed like a perfect opportunity to go against what mom and dad said. Recently I just moved into a town home and hadn’t really settled into it yet.  So I saved some money to get some presents for myself this year, not for clothes but for electronics and furniture. Best Buy and Wal-Mart were exactly where I needed to go, once I walked though those doors, it hit me, I needed to spend money. Yep, the holiday season caught up to me.  Going down the aisles seeing sale after sale and just wishing I could get everything in there, made me feel like a kid again. I spent so much time being an adult and letting loose to be a kid again is just rejuvenating. Impulse buying can be the one of the most fun things to do but can be one of the most expensive things to do.

In all the excitement of buying the presents that I really wanted and setting it in my living room, the hard part was coming up, which consisted of a screw driver, Allen wrench, energy drinks, hammer and more energy drinks. Putting together furniture has never been my strong suite but I was determined, of course I had a little help. I still managed to put the pieces in the right places, most of the time…:p I just hope that my furniture won’t fall apart on me anytime soon. We shall see….
