24 Hours of Epicness! Call of Duty Style
Dec 17, 10:00 am

Calling all dedicated gamers! I have achieved something that most people would think to be crazy...I have played Call of Duty Black Ops multiplayer for 24 hours straight!

About a week ago, I was trying to think of an awesome blog to write about Black Ops, but was having trouble. I went through a ton of YouTube videos about achievements, and realized that no one had gone on a straight Black Ops marathon. That’s when I had the idea - 24 hours straight of Call of Duty Black Ops multiplayer!! smile

Now that I had the idea, it was time for me to choose the day and time. A lot of my friends are in college, and wouldn’t be able to play the multiplayer with me during the weekdays. I finally decided on Friday, December 10th at 12pm to Saturday at 12pm - the perfect time to dominate!

Since I’d be playing for 24 hours straight, I needed to stock up on a couple things, so the grocery store was my next adventure. Trying to figure out what to get was pretty easy… I ended up getting a case of Mountain Dew, a case of Starbucks Fraps, and a case of AMP energy drinks. But that wasn’t all - now that I had the drinks, it was time to get the snacks. One of my favorite snacks is chips and guacamole - but I don’t get the stuff in the container. I get the ingredients and make my own! I bought avocados, red onions, garlic, tomatoes, cumin, lime, salt and pepper and mixed it up. Yummy!!!

Now that I was all set for game time, it was time to get comfy and ready for the marathon! One of my vG boys decided to do the marathon with me (vG Peac3keeper aka Adam), but we weren’t alone.  We were later accompanied by PMS Sunie, Lady Graphix, on3nightstan, JD 2020, PMS SkellzJuggs, Nuckfuggets, BOOTY STARR FDC, Buders, tea potts, VballChick PMS, PMS ClubSammich, carbonfibah, vG KillTrigger, vG MerKaVeLi, vG Undisputed and vG Memerize. This was so helpful because I definitely needed support to get through this.

December 10th, Friday at 12pm rolled around. The first 6 hours were no problem, since I do this on a day-to-day basis - so I snacked and did the usual gameplaying (mostly Team Deathmatch and Domination).

At about 12 hours into the marathon, you definitely begin to feel it. Your butt starts to hurt, your back starts to get stiff from sitting in the “gaming position”, you run out of chips - this is when energy drinks began to be my best friend.

At about 18 hours into the marathon, it was starting to get tough, so thank goodness for the occasional cheers with teammates as we chugged our energy drinks! The good thing about the 18 hour mark, is that you begin to lose the feeling in your butt and legs.  At least there was one less thing to complain about…

The 20 hour mark was probably the hardest part of the whole marathon. You begin to fall asleep in your chair (without realizing it) right in the middle of intense combat. Thank goodness for my teammates, who yelled into their mics and jolted me back to life!

Once I hit the 24 hour mark, I was officially a bit tired of Call of Duty. It’s nice to accomplish something like this - a proof of my determination. But without my teammates who supported me throughout the night, I probably wouldn’t have made it. Thank You to everyone that participated and showed their support! smile You all Rock My Socks!

Video footage will be here shortly wink
