I know you are all extremely jealous of me, and I understand...I would be jealous of me too, if I were you. I just talked my company into letting me work from home full time. I have the sweetest job in the world. Wait, let me back up. I got a job about 2 1/2 years ago at an auto paint store. I wear an apron that is splattered with all the colors of the rainbow. I mix paint, sell bondo, epoxies, primer, clearcoat, polishes, all that good stuff.
I also do side projects every once in a while to help out some of my friends and family. Recently I helped my nephew (who’s almost 16) sand and prep his car to be painted. For any of you who haven’t sanded a car before, it’s tedious hard work. Takes many, many hours if you’re doing it by hand (which we were).

So anyway, about a year ago I started working on my company’s website because web design is one of my passions. I’d work half my hours in the store mixing paint (and getting hit on by yucky, old body shop guys) and half my hours at home designing my company’s site and entering in products. I made them a second site about a month ago, so it’s a lot of work for me to keep up with. I do continuous design on both sites, write the newsletter, market the sites, add products, ship out orders and so forth. I talked to my manager about working at home full time and she went for the idea.
Now I’m full time at home! I wake up in the morning, roll out of bed whenever I want, go to the computer (still wearing my pj’s, of course), work on the internet for as much or as little as I feel like…take a break and play some video games…come back up to my office and work more. Life is good.
