Do you ever wonder what it would feel like to jump into a swimming pool filled with thumbtacks? The little metal kind, not the plastic colorful ones. Maybe it’d be really painful because they’d be piercing every square inch of your body, or maybe you’d just slip right into the pool without a scratch. Hmm, I wonder if they’d make you bleed. Anyway, that has nothing to do with my blog. I guess I’m just having a moment.
I got back from Dallas a few days ago! I swear, this has been the craziest past three months EVER. SO MUCH TRAVELING! I’m not complaining, though. It has been hella mad very fun (See what I did there? I made fun of Californians and New Yorkers - snicker, snicker). Just to give you an idea of the craziness, my plane caught on fire, I went to a Penthouse party in Vegas, saved a humming bird’s life, danced to Jackson 5’s ABC on stage in front of a thousand people, played in a beer pong tournament, AND drove 18 hours straight on 2 hours of sleep (thank you 5-hour Energy shots!). Whew! It’s times like these that I wish I had a little camera recording my life so I could play back the entertaining moments. I can tell you though, it feels great to be home and relax for a bit before MLG Dallas.
Oh yeah, I was just about to tell you about the Dallas trip I just took. It was sweet. Brookelyn, Mischief, She-Devil and I met together for some R6V2 quality LAN practice. Mischief found an Xbox360 LAN center online before we left. When we got to Dallas and tried calling the place, we found out they had closed. No problem, right? Dallas is a city of gamers. It’s actually the place we LANed last year for MLG at the Lost Cause LAN house. Well, after two hours of calling every LAN center in the Dallas area, I closed my laptop, said a curse word and walked into the other room. Things were looking pretty down… who do you turn to when things are down? Pyra!! Good ol’ Pyra. We scrounged together all of our Xbox360s, wires, games, and controllers and headed over to her apartment.
After hours and hours of playing, our shots were sharp, dead bodies were hitting the floor and we were happy. Also, there was a blue ribbon somehow involved. We’re feeling pretty confident for the upcoming MLG Dallas tournament. It’s only 5 days away! Woo hoo!
Oooooo! Get her, Brookelyn! ; )
A little posed, eh Calyber? (Sometimes I talk to myself in my own blogs)
This may be the best picture of Mischief ever taken.
