FDF a la COD4
Dec 17, 7:50 am

Sweet swirling onion rings!  COD4 (Call of Duty 4) is fun!  I had no idea.  I’ve been so intent on the addictive scrumptiousness of Halo 3, and easy-to-acquire-achievement-point-games like Surfs Up and Open Season, that I didn’t even feel tempted by the dozen or so people on my friends list constantly trying to lure me over to play.

I finally sunk my teeth into Call of Duty 4 last Friday - Frag Doll Friday.  I didn’t give myself much time to prep for the event, as I removed the plastic from the game about two hours before FDF (Frag Doll Friday) began.  I dove into the campaign before I attempted any online death matches, and quickly picked up the FSCs (familiar shooter controls).  I relished in the delicious campaign, but played only long enough to feel at ease with the game before taking it O (online).  After a couple hours of getting comfortable with COD4, I was ready to start FDF and invite the gamers who signed up to participate.

The guys in my party were a riot!  We talked about CD (cookie dough), pizza, Frag Dolls, chicken, ice cream… I guess we were all pretty hungry.  With a well rounded palette of TDM, S&D and TL (Team Death Match, Search and Destroy, and “the like”), we played, laughed and talked while we pumped each other FOB (full of bullets).  This is what I learned from that night: FFA on Shipment with 18 people in a party is insane!  We played that twice.  I had to mute myself I was laughing so hard.

AITO (as it turned out), I had pizza sitting on the kitchen table waiting for my tummy at the end of FDF, so it wasn’t too hard to set the controller down after the two-hour block.  Mmmm, that pizza was good… but FDF on COD4 was even better.
If you want in on the fun of future Frag Doll Fridays, keep checking this page on Xbox.com for updates. By the way, HMUYOAD (Happy Make Up Your Own Acronyms Day)!

(Occasionally, I make like to make up my own holidays)
