VIDEO CONTENT SUBMISSION:

I tend to be choosey about which console I play which game, but since the new motion peripherals have come out it seems that you can have a totally different experience with certain games depending on which console you own.  I’ve played Michael Jackson the Experience on the Wii, but I’ve always wondered what fun I was missing out on with MJE on the 360 Kinect.  So I ventured to find out!

“I’m becoming a hopeless anime romantic”

I was always a little dork.  When I was in middle school, I would run home so that I could catch Sailor Moon on Toonami.  If I missed even a minute of it, I would be sick!  Especially since all my friends would be completely dissecting every second of it the next morning at school.  I remember us having a “Sailor Moon Diary” that we shared.  Each of us would have our day where we took the diary home and piece together our story as our character in the Sailor Moon world.  I was Mercury, the smart and shy one.

Wow!  I can’t believe I was shy at one point of my life.

I reminisce on these times when I go on anime binges.  You know, those times where you can watch an entire season of your new addiction within a few days.  And you know what I just now realized?  I was a roleplayer!  That, to me, is the epitome of EPIC NERDISM.  But back then I had no idea.  It was just a way of escaping the day to day dread of middle school.  My friends and I were like an underground gang of giddy school girls who watched and wrote about another group of giddy school girls who fought evil with Moon Tiara Magic.  I remember the sleepovers where we would smuggle in the Japanese subbed versions of Sailor Moon into the basement like it was illegal contraband (it had a few bad words in it) and watch it with the volume down.  As if the parents upstairs could understand Japanese, right?  And it was on VHS tapes.  Ole Skewl.

Those were the days.  Chillin out maxin relaxin all cool and all sneaking in the basement watching Sailor Moon.

Now I find myself becoming addicted to high school romance anime again.  So far I’ve watched all of Kimi Ni Todoke and Skip Beat, and I’ve started on Starry Sky and Princess Jellyfish/Kuragehime (even though that one isn‘t considered high school).  But I’ve been looking for an ongoing anime with more than two seasons.  Not as cheesy as SM of course, but something that gives me that giddy feeling I had as a mini dork.

What’s your anime addiction?  If you’re a hopeless anime romantic, let me in on some of the really good ones THAT DON’T CUT OFF AT EPISODE 25! Gah!
